After completing DSE, students can choose to study in Australia for first-year university or bridging courses based on their grades. Pathway courses include university foundation courses and university diploma courses. The former is a preparatory class for degree courses. After completing the course in about one year, students can transition to a first-year university class. The qualifications of the latter are equivalent to those of a first-year university class, and the course content is also the same as that of a first-year university class. Therefore, after completion of the course, you can transition to a second-year degree program. Australian universities offer a wide range of subject options, including medical and rehabilitation studies, business, engineering, etc., which are suitable for students who intend to study junior colleges.

Students who complete the course and pass (50%) can proceed to the second year of university. The course is mainly aimed at students who have completed Form 6 but cannot directly enter the first year of university and who need English support. Optional subjects include business, information technology, creative industries, humanities, engineering, etc.

Most bachelor's degrees in Australia last for three years, while associate degrees usually last for four years or more. After completing the HKDSE, students can advance to the first year of university if they meet the admission scores and English requirements.
